Bada Imambara is located in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, India, also known as Asafi Mosque or Asafi Imambara, built in the year 1784 by Asaf-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Awadh. It is also locally known as Bhool Bhulaiya by the Lucknowi people. The maze is located on the upper floor of the monument.


Imambara has a unique style of construction. The central hall of Imambara is about 50 meters long and 16 meters wide. The roof of this columnless hall is more than 15 meters high. This hall is the largest hall of its kind in the world, with no external support for wooden, iron, or stone beams.

Another interesting structure at Imambara is the Shahi Baoli, a building built around a large well, which was initially dug as a reservoir for construction works at Imambara. It has an arched entrance and a five-story structure formed by interconnected arches and galleries. This baoli is connected to the Gomti River.

The “British Residency” is a group of several buildings located in a common complex in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, India. It served as the home of the British Citizenship General, which was represented in the Nawab’s court. This heritage building was built by the British who were known for the unforgettable war of 1857.

The construction of this house was started by Nawab Asaf-ud-Dula in the late 1700s, however, it was completed by Nawab Sadat Ali Khan. After several years of construction, it has become the center of British rule.

The British Residency is famous for its many buildings. The main building has a museum, built-in 1857 in memory of the British martyrs, which shows the history of that period with paintings and weapons.

It is very clean and well maintained. Recommended for anyone interested in the history of Lucknow and British India. The British Residency is currently managed by the Archaeological Survey of India.

Rajdari waterfall is approximately 60kms from Varanasi, situated in a place called Chandauli. This waterfall is a rainy season waterfall and is a popular picnic spot among the locals of Varanasi. It’s a well-maintained spot and you can play badminton or any other sport over there.

How to reach Chandauli

  1. By Rail: The services of both northern and eastern railways are available in the district. Mughalsarai junction is hardly 15 KM. from the district headquarters. Mughalsarai has the biggest railway yard in India and in fact a terminating point of railways to the different directions in the country.
    There are 14 Railway stations linked by 101 KM. long broad gauge, railway tracks within the district. Rail facilities are available to different places and directions of country from the Mughalsarai railway junction for the passengers.
  2. By Road: Regarding road transportation in the district 1206 KM long metalled road are available, there are 36 KM. long national highways, whereas state highway are 42 KM. long. G.T road also passes through the district. Main district road covers 89 KM and other district and rural road covers 559 KM, whereas out of total length of 578 KM long, road is managed by local bodies (49 KM) and forest. 726 KM road are built and maintained by P.W.D govt. and private bus services are available for both urban and rural areas in the district

Prem Mandir is a Hindu temple in Vrindavan, Mathura, India. It is maintained by Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, an international non-profit, educational, spiritual, charitable trust.

It is dedicated to Radha Krishna and Sita Ram. Radha Krishna are on the first level and Sita Ram are on the second level. The temple structure was established by the fifth JagadguruKripalu Maharaj. Figures of Shri Krishna and his followers depicting important events surrounding the Lord’s existence cover the main temple.

Prem Mandir is constructed entirely of Italian marble. The total dimensions of the temple including its flag is 125 ft. high, 190 ft. long and the 128 ft. wide raised platform serves as the seat of the two-storeyed white monument.

The temple is quite famous for many spiritual events like:

  1. Jagadguruttam Diwas Mahotsav
  2. Janmashtami
  3. Radhastami

  1. By Air: Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi, 150 km away is the nearest airport. It would take about three and half hours to reach Vrindavan by taxi.
